Introduction
Maja is the perfect cozy weekend sweater. Whether it’s your first sweater or your hundredth, it’s a fun and rewarding knit. Originally from chapter two of my book The Nordic Knitting Primer, this version of Maja was rewritten for top-down knitting. The extra-deep Icelandic yoke draws on iconic X and O Setesdal motifs to create a whimsical blend of Norwegian and Icelandic knitting traditions that is both classic and timeless. I hope you will be wearing it many years from now.
