Midsommar Dress Pattern

Regular price $8.00 Sale

Here’s a perfect summer dress for the little girl in your life. Designed for Swedish Midsommar celebrations, but wearable whenever and wherever the sun shines, this dress has a cheery overall floral pattern, an empire waist and a slightly bell-shaped skirt.

The dress is knit bottom up, starting with larger needles and the knit with smaller needles to give the dress it’s subtle bell shape. There is a dramatic decrease at the top of the skirt and then the bodice is worked back and forth. To shape the armholes, the work is split and the front and the back are worked flat separately. The top of the shoulders are joined with a 3-needle bind off. The armholes, neckline, and buttonhole are all finished with a single crochet chain.
