The PDF can be printed and the ePub can be read on the go with resizable text. Hats off to my tech team for making this happen!

This is a collection of 12 slippers designed over the past few years. There are twelve slippers: 9 for women, 1 for men, and 2 slippers that can be made for men or women. Hansen is the largest and has the same gauge as the rest of the slippers, just more stitches. For Hans Christian or Inge make the women's slipper with Dk and the men's with worsted weight. The stitch count is the same, it's all about changing the gauge. The rest can be made to fit by tweaking the gauge. There's a whole section on how to make the slippers fit different sizes. I hope you find all this information helpful. There are a few extra details not found in the original patterns.

I love so many of these slippers. I can remember where I was when I designed each one. I guess you could say that these designs are a bit like a journal. Each slipper has a description of the symbolism I used in designing each one. There are slippers for all seasons. I hope you love them all as I do!

Included in the Ebook/Epub are Berte, Dagmar (with an extra heel option that I shared in a class I taught at Handwork), Hans Christian, Hansen, Inge, Karen, Larsdatter, Lotta, Lucia, Margaret, Sørine, and Tryntje.
Materials: 2 skeins (1 of each color) of Rauma Strikkegarn, Isager Highland , Isager Jensen Biches et Bûches Lambwool or equivalent DK (light worsted yarn). And a set of DPNs or Flexiflips for the size of slippers you are making.

The gauge for these slippers is 24 stitches over 4 inches knit in colorwork.

I used a US 4 to get gauge. The size of the slipper is determined by the size of needle you use. To make a medium women’s slipper (US shoe size 6-9) you will need to use whatever size DPN or Flexiflips you need to get gauge. If you want to make larger women’s slipper ( US shoe size 9.5-12) , you will use one needle size larger (I would use US 5) and if you want to make a smaller slipper (US 4-5.5) use one size smaller (US 3).

These slippers make a fabulous gift! I hope you make them for all your loved ones!

Skills used to make these slippers
Longtail cast on
2 color longtail cast on
Knitting
Purling
Knitting in colorwork
Purling in colorwork
Catching floats
Chart reading skills
Small circumference (DPN/ Flexiflip skills)
Increasing in colorwork
Decreasing in colorwork
Backward loop
Picking up and knitting Stitches
Tvinnarand
Simple crochet edge
Hand sewing
Lightly felting (this is easy)

Check out the Slipper Tutorial on Scandiwork.com
